Avraham Ben Yitzhak, born Abraham Sonne in 1883 in Galicia, is a legendary figure in Hebrew poetry, despite only eleven published poems. He received a traditional Jewish education and studied in Berlin and Vienna before fleeing to Palestine in 1938 due to the Nazi invasion of Austria.
