Douglas Taylor was an ordinary man who was finishing up college and casually planning his future. He had no cares in the world greater than the worry of whether or not the girl of his affections was interested in dating him. But everything changed with the arrival of a mysterious, computerized probe in space. The probe had traveled from an alternate universe to find anything that would would help its creators in their struggles of war. Not only was Doug unaware of the probe's existence, but he was also unaware that its primary target had become himself! During his mental struggles with the probe, Doug changes and grows both mentally and physically to phenominal levels that push the bondaries of what his mortal frame can hold. His world is inexorably turned upside down by powers beyond his control when he is forcibly taken to the alternate dimension and is not only forced to endure isolation from all that he knows, but thrust into the forefront and asked to utilize his recently attained power to liberate an entire galaxy.
