    Suellen Ocean crée ses histoires depuis sa résidence dans les collines du nord de la Californie, où elle exerce sa profession d'écrivaine. Elle a commencé son écriture professionnelle pour la presse et la radio à la fin des années 1980. Son premier livre auto-publié l'a amenée à être publiée "officiellement" lorsqu'en 1998, elle a été invitée à participer à l'anthologie "The Simple Life" de Berkley Books, New York. Elle est l'auteure de seize livres explorant une gamme variée de sujets et d'idées.
