This book is a first-hand account of Charles Masson's travels in Eastern Balochistan in the mid-19th century. Masson provides detailed descriptions of the people and places he encounters, including a violent insurrection in the city of Kalat. It is a fascinating glimpse into a region and a time that is not well known to many readers today.
Charles Masson Livres

Charles Masson was a thorn in the side of the British Indian government. A deserter from the East India Company's army, who became an explorer, Masson was a passionate observer of the people of the North-West Frontier of India and Afghanistan. He spent time in Lahore, Peshawar and Kabul and was the first European to identify the remains of the ancient city of Begram.
