Nora Brennan is a simple woman enjoying a quiet life with her sister, best friend and a handful of orphaned or troubled children. When her grandfather leaves a book for her in his will, all that changes. While most books come equipped with imaginary angels, demons and white knight hero's, Nora's book enjoys throwing her reality a curveball. Not only are angels real, but so are demons. To keep it out of the hands of a power-hungry demon, she'll have to rely on a Fallen Angel. These Angel's don't come close to the ones she learned about in Sunday school. Their language and hobbies alone are enough to make a pastor faint. Her Guardian from all things that go bump in the shadows; a prickly and difficult angel named Kegan. It quickly becomes clear that he has two goals. Keep the book out of the wrong hands and earn a release from an eternity of banishment. Without hesitation, he demonstrates a willingness to put his life on the line for hers. If only he'd show such willingness to give in to the temptation, he struggles so hard to keep at bay.
