Pendant de nombreuses années, elle a servi comme directrice des femmes à The Chapel à Akron, Ohio, enseignant et conseillant d'innombrables femmes de tous âges. Elle donne également de son temps comme bénévole consultante pour Habitat for Humanity. Elle et son mari Dan ont récemment pris leur retraite à Nashville, TN.
