Uwe Ommer, born in 1943 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, won the German youth photography prize in 1962 and moved to Paris, where he assisted renowned photographer Jean Pierre Ronzel for two years. Since the 1970s, he has been one of the world's most sought-after commercial photographers, notably working with Charles Jourdan, known for producing the most expensive shoes of the 70s and 80s. His aesthetic nudes have appeared in prestigious publications like „Lui“, „Esquire“, „Zoom“, and „Photographie“. Ommer's exotic and erotic photography gained widespread recognition through various books, including „Black Ladies“, „Exotic“, „Asian Ladies“, „Do it Yourself“, and the Pirelli Calendar. In the collection „1000 Families“, he captures families from around the globe against a neutral white background. In 2002, he received a lifetime achievement award from the Royal Photographic Society. The large-format book „Erotic Ladyland“ showcases both well-known and previously unpublished works from Ommer's extensive portfolio, highlighting his mastery in erotic photography.
