In der Poesie, im Gedicht, möchte er ihr so nahe sein, daß »ich in meinem Schlaf deine Augen schließe«. Fritz Rudolf Fries hat Nerudas Liebessonette ausgewählt, kongenial ins Deutsche übertragen und mit einem Nachwort versehen.
