Alexander Buhmann develops a new model for measuring the constitution and effects of country images by combining well-established concepts from national identity theory and attitude theory with a recent model from reputation management. The model is operationalized and tested in two surveys. Results show how different cognitive and affective dimensions of the country image affect each other and ultimately lead to the facilitation of behavioral intentions. The book introduces a theory-grounded approach to clarify the dimensionality of the country image. It is the first to operationalize and test the dimensions of the country image by combining formative and reflective measures in a mixed-specified model.

In vielen Szenen stellen die Spielerinnen und Spieler dar, wie sich die Beziehung der Geschlechter bis zum Ende der Schulzeit verändert. Die kleinen Mädchen und Knaben spielen zusammen im Sandkasten. Von etwa 10 Jahren an findet jedes Geschlecht das andere doof: Man ist und spielt für sich. In der Oberstufe ändert sich das wieder, nur haben die Mädchen den Schritt zur Reife rascher getan als die Knaben. Sind dann auch diese soweit, beginnt die Zeit des Eindruckmachens, des Beachtet-werden-wollens, der oft unbeholfenen Kontaktnahme, aber auch schon die Zeit des Nicht- mehr-verstehens, der Trennung. Das Stück ist offensichtlich in einer Spielgruppe entstanden, und es scheint mir klar, dass man es nur als Gerüst für die eigene, gruppenspezifische Gestaltung benützen wird. (Quelle: Spielberater).
