With the focus on childhood thyroid cancer, this book offers a wide range of sonographical and pathological findings of thyroid-diseases in children and adolescents. In the wake of the Chernobyl desaster, a considerable increase in thyroid-diseases was observed in Belorussia, the country most heavily contaminated by radioactive fallout.
