En savoir plus sur le livre

The accurate diagnosis of tumors and tumor-like lesions in bones and soft tissues can be challenging due to the variety of lesions and their overlapping clinical presentations. Traditionally, imaging was limited to conventional radiography, but recent advancements have made CT and MR imaging commonplace for analyzing these lesions. Physicians must be adept at recognizing their characteristics through both conventional and advanced imaging techniques. This resource presents a selection of carefully chosen cases that highlight the key imaging features of significant tumors and tumor-like lesions. Each case is organized with a brief clinical history, several images showcasing routine radiographic, CT, and/or MR features, a discussion on differential diagnoses, the rationale for the most likely diagnosis, a summary of pathologic findings, and additional comments on the disease entity. This structure promotes easy and engaging reading while allowing readers to assess their knowledge of imaging findings for each case. It mirrors the instructional methods used daily at teaching centers globally, making it an effective learning tool.
