En savoir plus sur le livre
This collection features a range of scholarly articles focusing on the Berber language and its various aspects. Contributions include discussions on plant names in Tachelheit, basic Berber verbs within an Afroasiatic context, and onomastic notes from Jerba and Mozabite. The grammaticalization of verbs in Tachelhit is examined, particularly the verb "ili," meaning "to be somewhere." The potential influence of a Songhay substratum in Gourara Berber is explored, along with the grammatical category and syntactic demarcation of accent in Berber. The theme of the intensive aorist is analyzed, highlighting unique forms with shared content. Additional topics include diathesis, aspect, and stativity in Taqbaylit Berber, as well as intonational structures in Berber, specifically the non-verbal predicate d+XP in Tarifit and Taqbaylit. The study also addresses particles and adverbs derived from verbal forms, the concept of negation in Berber, and contemporary Kabyle poetry. The question of orthography for Tamazight is discussed, alongside the laryngeal-final verbs in Zénaga and various Berber etymologies. Previous volumes in the series are referenced, showcasing a comprehensive examination of Berber linguistics.
