En savoir plus sur le livre

As visual perception becomes inundated with stimuli, our ability to form independent opinions is compromised, highlighting the need for new spaces of freedom. A subjectivity that continually renews and expands perception's boundaries is essential, allowing viewers to interpret independently and fostering autonomous perception. This monograph explores reality construction through cognitive subjects and examines methods to broaden spatial definitions through personal interpretation, effectively debordering space. It reflects on historical attempts to visually deborder space and presents innovative approaches to defining space indeterminately via light modulation. Various modulation phenomena are analyzed and illustrated with art references, aiming to integrate them into spatial production. The modulation of light can create diffuse, ambivalent characteristics in space-defining surfaces, promoting freer interpretations and debordering through perception. New materials and technologies can generate spatial worlds that unveil previously unknown realms of cognition and experience. The author posits that multilayered, ambiguous spatial situations can lead to new open spaces of perception, ultimately expanding human consciousness in relation to the surrounding world.
