Meißner Blumenmalerei findet weltweite Bewunderung. Das Grabowski-Service war im 18. Jahrhundert das erste Meißner Service, das mit europäischen Blumen dekoriert worden ist. Dieses Service gehörte zur weltberühmten Porzellansammlung des jüdischen Bankiers Gustav von Klemperer. Seine Sammlung wurde 1938 von den Nazis konfisziert und in der Bombennacht von Dresden am 13. Februar 1945 schwer beschädigt. Überreste des Services wurden 2010 versteigert. Diethard Lübke analysiert in dieser Veröffentlichung den Dekor und die historischen Hintergründe. All connoisseurs admire the painting of natural flowers by the Meißen manufactory. The Grabowski-Service was in the 18th century the first which was decorated with European flowers. This service was a part of the world-famous collection that belonged to the Jewish banker Gustav von Klemperer. His collection was confiscated in 1938 by the Nazis and badly damaged by air raids on February 13th, 1945. The remnants of this service were sold by auction in 1010. In this publication, Diethard Lübke analyzes the decoration as well as the historical background of the Grabowski-Service.
