The Frequency Dictionaries series aims to produce dictionaries with comparable frequency data across various languages. For many languages in this collection, it represents the first comprehensive compilation based on a large empirical base. The dictionaries are available in both print and electronic formats. Each dictionary features the 1000 most frequent word forms arranged by frequency and the 10000 most frequent forms in alphabetical order, along with an introductory description of the data and methodology. Additionally, language-specific statistical information on letters, word structure, and structural changes based on word frequency is included. A CD-ROM accompanies the dictionary, offering a more extensive e-book version with relative frequency data for up to 1,000,000 word forms in alphabetical order. This series provides opportunities to explore both comparative linguistic topics and monolingual issues, such as studies on word formation and frequency-based examinations of lexical areas for dictionaries or language teaching.
