The LNCS journal Transactions on Computational Science showcases recent advancements in Computational Science, emphasizing its role as a vital and innovative discipline that supports various scientific fields. It prioritizes original, high-quality research in computational science, particularly in parallel and distributed environments, addressing both theoretical foundations and applications related to large-scale computations and massive data processing. The journal targets researchers and practitioners across diverse areas, including aerospace, biochemistry, electronics, geosciences, mathematics, and software architecture, presenting verifiable computational methods and solutions that enable industrial users to implement cutting-edge, high-performance techniques. The 17th issue is divided into two parts. The first part features four papers exploring robotics and augmented reality, computer game evaluation strategies, cognitive perception in crowd control simulation, and reversible processor design using look-ahead. The second part includes five papers that discuss secure congestion adaptive routing, cryptographic schemes for wireless sensor networks, intersection attacks on anonymity, and reliable message delivery in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET).
