Richard Hall is a German computer scientist who had once spent a year in the USA as an exchange student. A married man at 42 years of age, he has a strange re-encounter with Sandra Barclay on the internet, a woman he had briefly met during his stay in America. They start exchanging messages and realize how much they have in common. Almost like teenagers they start a virtual love affair – both actually confess their love to each other. When they get into contact on the social network FRIEND LINK, Sandra has been married for 25 years, Richard has been with his wife for 19 years. Both have two kids. Despite many struggles, they start leading a double life.
