En savoir plus sur le livre

By fall 2007, a leak suggesting the U.S. government may have engaged in first contact has thrown the country into chaos, and Cora Sabino is determined to stay out of it. The controversy centers around her whistleblower father, whose notoriety has drawn media attention to her, despite their years of estrangement. Cora is indifferent to whether his revelations are genuine or fabricated, wanting nothing to do with him—until she discovers her family's deep involvement in a cover-up regarding an extraterrestrial presence on Earth for decades. To protect herself, she offers her services as an interpreter to an alien entity, who surprisingly accepts. As she gathers information, she realizes that her role as an intermediary is crucial for uncovering the truth. The alien has remained silent until she convinces one to communicate through her, making her the first human to bridge this gap. However, as she gains insight, Cora grapples with the implications of being the voice for a being she cannot fully understand, prompting her to question whom she truly represents and the future she is shaping for humanity.
