Méei Yåing navigates a summer filled with homework and Chinese school, finding joy only in soccer and time spent with her visiting grandmother, Næai Nai. Despite their language barrier, they bond through cooking and tai chi. As Méei Yåing prepares for fifth grade, she faces challenges when a new classmate, Sid, targets her with racist jokes. Struggling with feelings of invisibility amidst the bullying and her best friend's advice to ignore it, she embarks on a journey to reclaim her identity and assert her voice.
