En savoir plus sur le livre

The European Media and Communication Doctoral Summer School unites highly qualified doctoral students and senior researchers from various European countries. Over fourteen days, the summer school aims to enhance the quality of individual dissertation projects through intercultural and interdisciplinary exchange and networking. This program goes beyond traditional teaching methods, incorporating group-centered and individualized approaches, such as personalized discussions of doctoral projects, peer-to-peer feedback, and collaborative book production. The theme “Media Practice and Everyday Agency in Europe” explores the relationship between media change and the everyday agency of individuals in Europe. This volume encapsulates the intellectual contributions from the 2013 summer school, organized in partnership with the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) at the University of Bremen's ZeMKI, the Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research. The chapters address significant research topics, organized into four sections: “Dynamics of Mediatization,” “Transformations,” “Methods,” and “The Social.”
