Remote Sympathy

Set against the backdrop of Buchenwald, the story follows Frau Greta Hahn as she adjusts to her new life near a work camp, unaware of the horrors unfolding nearby. Her husband, an SS officer, becomes increasingly consumed by his role as the camp's administrator amidst rampant corruption and rising prisoner numbers. When Greta forms an unexpected alliance with Dr. Lenard Weber, a prisoner and inventor of a potentially life-saving machine, her naive perceptions are challenged, revealing the stark contrast between her idyllic surroundings and the grim reality beyond.
