En savoir plus sur le livre

Years ago, bookseller and mystery enthusiast Malcolm Kershaw compiled a list of the genre's most unsolvable murders, titled "Eight Perfect Murders," featuring works by Agatha Christie, Patricia Highsmith, and others. Now the owner of the Old Devils Bookstore in Boston, Mal is taken aback when an FBI agent visits him on a snowy February day. She seeks information about a series of unsolved murders that bear a striking resemblance to those on Mal's list. As he navigates this unexpected attention, he realizes he is being watched by a killer who knows far too much about his past, including secrets he has never shared, even with his late wife. To safeguard himself, Mal begins investigating potential suspects, leading him to see a threat in everyone around him. However, he underestimates the consequences of his inquiry, as a string of shocking twists results in more victims and tightens the noose around his neck. The investigation spirals out of control, leaving Mal in a precarious situation where escape seems increasingly impossible.
