Veterinarians serve on the front lines against animal suffering and abuse. For centuries, their compassion and expertise have greatly reduced that suffering. Yet we now live in an era where more and more people ask questions about the ethical considerations that lie behind common veterinary practices. Made up of articles originally published in the Journal of Animal Ethics, this Common Threads volume offers veterinarians and others a primer on key issues in the field.
