Thirty years after the discovery of several dozen alternative Earths—worlds where history has unfolded differently than our own—mysterious catastrophes begin to escalate. Unfathomable cosmic forces seize these new worlds, altering them beyond the influence of their inhabitants and rendering their matter unstable. The result is total dissolution. Mysterious destroyer squadrons target the alternative Earths, while marauders traveling between worlds further disrupt the prevailing chaos.
