Johnny Jukes, star of hit television series, City Boys, appears to have it all sex appeal, fame, marriage and a beautiful son. Meanwhile his long-term friend, scriptwriter for the series, Gina Cardosi, is happily divorced, anticipating a move to a cottage in the country and constantly rejecting the unwanted attentions of the local estate agent. When Johnny s world unexpectedly falls apart, it is Gina he turns to for support and they become even closer as a result. Under pressure from their families, they attempt to protect both themselves and the series their livelihoods depend on; a series produced by Johnny s far-from-happy father-in-law and filmed in Gina s family-owned studio. As the situation takes a dramatic turn, happiness for the pair seems impossible, but could the mysterious, elderly woman Gina encounters at her home hold the key to their future or simply encourage revenge?
