Listening Tests, Key Stage 3

This photocopiable workbook and accompanying CD provide a complete range of progressive tests for use with Years 7 to 9. Built around National Curriculum objectives, each test combines different types of multiple-choice questions with more open-ended questions, to allow for differentiation. The tests have been designed in consultation with teachers to be as flexible as possible, allowing you to decide the best way to use them with your pupils. Repertoire has been selected to represent a range of centuries, countries, styles and traditions. There are tests on western classical music, jazz and blues, music for stage and screen, world music and popular music. As well as introducing a wide range of musical styles, the tests adopt similar question structures and topics to those encountered at GCSE, preparing pupils for the move forward to Years 10 and 11.
