Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading global cause of death, claiming over 17.9 million lives annually. To address CVD manifestations, the transplantation of secondary vessels or synthetic vascular grafts is the standard procedure; however, these grafts often lead to significant adverse reactions. Thus, there is a pressing need for modern therapeutic strategies focused on CVD. Advanced tissue engineering approaches, such as decellularization and 3D additive bio-printing, are being explored as alternative therapies. This Special Issue of Bioengineering highlights contemporary methods in CVD management, featuring five articles that discuss the efficient production of small-diameter vascular grafts, the development of vascular grafts using 3D printing, and in vitro models for better understanding atherosclerosis mechanisms. The Guest Editors extend their gratitude to all contributors for their exceptional articles and acknowledge the reviewers for their thorough analysis and efforts to enhance the quality of the published work.
