Under a Dark Cloud

One dead body. One witness. One answer. Early one morning, DS Robin Butler is summoned to a crime scene. Not as a policeman, but as best friend of renowned meteorologist Dr Finn Mason. Finn has locked himself in a van with a dead body and refuses to leave. Once he eventually does, it is as a suspected murderer. Butler sets out to prove Finn is innocent. Meanwhile, DC Freya West is struggling to cope with the secrets she is keeping -- for herself, and for Butler. The burden of guilt has become too much. As she assists Butler on his quest to clear Finn's name, it seems both detectives stand to lose more than they can bear.
