Brutus is a "Professional Music Fan," living the dream of attending concerts and interviewing rock stars worldwide. With a career spanning decades, he has become a prominent figure in music media, hosting the nationally syndicated hardDrive with Lou Brutus for over twenty-three seasons, airing on more than one hundred radio stations across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. His show has played a crucial role in launching the careers of major acts like Avenged Sevenfold and Slipknot. Alongside hardDrive, the weeknight version, hardDrive XL, has also gained significant popularity. Brutus has spent nineteen years at SiriusXM as Senior Director of Music Programming, showcasing his versatility across various channels. His adventures include traveling to the Arctic with Metallica, sharing drinks with Hunter S. Thompson, and experiencing wild moments with Snoop Dogg and Spinal Tap. He fronts two comedic punk rock bands and has co-written a unique cow-punk-rock opera. Additionally, he has created comic books, authored a parody coloring book, and launched his own line of microbrewed beers. Brutus has appeared on NBC's "The Apprentice," in concert films, and has even been honored in a song by Wesley Willis. In his spare time, he is an accomplished photographer, with his work featured by major entities like Gibson Guitars and Cheap Trick, and has contributed to numerous magazine covers and publications worldwide.
