The eleven texts in this volume explore communication through its ideological and political dimensions. While the relationship between politics and ideology often stirs strong emotions in public discourse, it does not serve as the central theme of this publication. Instead, the authors focus on specific concepts such as political behavior, language policy, politolinguistics, major ideologies, and political discourse. The work examines various visions of the world, political doctrines, and programs that reflect underlying beliefs, with a particular emphasis on values and valuation, including moral values and language valuation. The researchers draw on linguistic material from Polish, German, English, French, and Italian, incorporating insights from both contemporary and historical contexts. The interdisciplinary nature of the discussions leads to a division of the volume into five sections, each addressing historical, terminological, pragmatic, translational, and didactic issues. This structure allows for a comprehensive exploration of the intricate connections between language, ideology, and politics, providing valuable insights into how these elements interact in communication.
