Two years before Stranger Things Season 4, Eddie Munson, the Hellfire Club leader and Hawkins outcast, faces a pivotal moment in his life. For most, Hawkins, Indiana, is a picturesque all-American town, but for Eddie, it feels like a never-ending Tomb of Horrors. With only a few months left at Hawkins High, senior year is merely a countdown between Dungeons & Dragons sessions and band gigs. At the town's worst dive bar, Eddie meets Paige, a remarkable woman who has escaped Hawkins and created an exciting life for herself in Los Angeles, working for a record producer. She embodies the badass spirit Eddie admires and sees him for who he truly is, offering him a chance to make something of himself by getting her a demo tape of his band, Corroded Coffin. However, recording costs money—money Eddie lacks. Determined to seize this opportunity, he considers relying on his estranged father, Al Munson, who has returned with another questionable scheme. Eddie knows this is his best shot to earn the cash he needs in time. It's a risky move, but if successful, it could finally lead him out of Hawkins. Eddie senses that 1984 is destined to be his year.
