This visual interpretation of Sterne's eccentric work, Tristram Shandy, features the author's cartoon character Pete, who travels through Sterne's created world, providing a modern view of the novel. During Pete's journey with the author through the work, a variety of themes and events are introduced, including deconstruction, a film version of the book by Oliver Stone, a vomiting whale, a ship full of critics, Martin Amis, D.H. Lawrence and a lot of noses.
