Moonshine, Trains, and Red Clay Roads

Set in the 1920s and 1930s, the story follows Levi, a sharecropper's son from rural South Georgia, who embarks on an unexpected journey across the country. What begins as an exciting trip with his sister and her husband quickly turns into a nightmare when he finds himself abandoned and stranded in a small Texas town. At just sixteen, Levi grapples with feelings of loss and betrayal while navigating a harsh new reality. Determined to return to his roots, he resolves to make his way back to Alma, seeking solace in the familiar red clay of home.
