Jackstraw

The story follows Thomas Jackstraw, a former West Point cadet turned mercenary, who is drawn into a dangerous plot involving a staged assassination of a vice-presidential candidate in a South American republic. As he navigates his new role building an army from rebels, he becomes entangled with the alluring politician Rachel Valentine. When the plan goes wrong, Jackstraw finds himself on the run, pursued by law enforcement, while grappling with betrayal and his own moral compass.
