Focusing on the environmental and community implications, this work investigates the establishment of oil stations in Goma, a city vulnerable to volcanic hazards. It explores community perceptions of the risks associated with these stations and assesses existing preventive measures. Through targeted sampling, the study reveals significant concerns regarding safety from both the oil operators and local residents, highlighting the urgent need for risk prevention strategies in this once-popular tourist destination.
