The study focuses on analyzing demand forecasting tools in a retail food unit to enhance service levels and inventory management. It employs the ABC curve method using Microsoft Excel to select items from the basic food basket, considering variables like price and profitability. Historical data was sourced from the FDC Market ERP software. The findings indicate that the weighted moving average methodology yielded satisfactory results, demonstrating lower absolute error averages in demand forecasting.
