The thesis explores critical aspects of quark-gluon plasma, focusing on the measurement of third-order harmonic flow through two-particle correlations in gold-gold collisions. It differentiates between flow and non-flow contributions, emphasizing the hydrodynamic properties of the plasma. Additionally, the research examines long-range longitudinal correlations in smaller deuteron-gold collisions, addressing the applicability of hydrodynamics and the potential formation of quark-gluon plasma in these less extensive systems.
