Dreaming Pachinko

Set in Tokyo during July 2001, the story follows hard-boiled reporter Billy Chaka as he navigates a seemingly simple assignment that quickly spirals into chaos. After witnessing a young woman suffer a seizure in a pachinko hall, Chaka finds himself entangled in a complex blackmail scheme involving a Ministry of Construction official, a bold teenager, and a mysterious figure known as Mr. Bojangles. The presence of four enigmatic figures in his hotel room adds to the intrigue, leading Chaka deeper into a web of danger and deception.
