En savoir plus sur le livre

In the early 15th century, amid the Hundred Years' War, England and France battled for sovereignty. Simon, born in 1386 as the illegitimate son of Geoffrey of Malvallet, faced a tumultuous life. After his mother died in 1400, he and his legitimate half-brother became friends with the Prince, fighting valiantly against France. Adopting the name Simon of Beauvallet, his chivalrous exploits earned him titles like Simon the Lynx-Eyed and Simon the Lion. Despite his noble achievements, including rising from page to lord, Simon struggled with one emotion: love. Known for his strength, keen mind, and fair appearance, he was affectionately seen as gentle and just, yet labeled Simon the Coldheart for his inability to feel passion. This changed when he encountered Margaret, a fierce French lady, after the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. Sent to besiege Belremy, he met the courageous Margaret, whose strength rivaled his own. Though he captured her kingdom and eventually married her, winning her heart proved to be a different challenge entirely.
