New recruit Val is left to manage the situation, leading to a series of comedic mishaps, especially with the unexpected arrival of Gordon's drunken wife, Ruth, and various unrelated characters. The ensemble features four women and three men, creating a lively and humorous atmosphere as they navigate the challenges of putting on a play.
