Transforming Air Force Isr for the Long War and Beyond

Focusing on the evolution of Air Force intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), this paper presents innovative organizational models to enhance the integration of ISR with tactical operations. It emphasizes the importance of close air support doctrine and proposes constructs that connect ISR assets, exploiters, and command units through direct interactions and standardized processes. This approach aims to improve operational effectiveness across various theaters and combat commands, addressing the growing significance of ISR as a core competency.
