The First Emperor

Set in ancient China, the story intertwines the fates of two brothers, Hsufu and Hsufei, during the rise of the Qin Dynasty. Hsufu deceives his way to Japan's founding, while Hsufei loyally serves Emperor Qinshihuang. After the emperor's death, Hsufei's resurrection in modern China sparks a journey alongside Deng Xiaoping, exploring critical historical events from the late 20th century, including the economic reforms and the Tiananmen Square protests. The narrative blends fiction and history, tackling themes of power, loyalty, and national identity.
