Focusing on urban intermarriages in India, this qualitative study examines how couples negotiate household resources amid diverse norms shaped by class, caste, and ethnicity. Utilizing an intersectionality framework, it highlights the interplay of gender, caste, class, and ethnicity in the bargaining process.
