Focusing on Zhou Enlai's pivotal role in the Communist Party of China's strategy during the Japanese invasion, this study explores his leadership from the May Fourth Movement to the formation of the second United Front with the Nationalist Party. It examines key events like the Manchurian and Xi'an Incidents, highlighting Zhou's anti-imperialist efforts and collaboration with Zhang Xueliang.
