Exploring the dynamics of verbal politeness and violence, this research examines how terms of address can be perceived as appropriate or inappropriate based on the speaker's intentions, the listener's interpretations, and social norms. It delves into concepts like communication, interaction, and interculturality, emphasizing the significance of context in interpreting address terms. Through a comprehensive survey involving questionnaires and sound recordings, the study reveals that address terms are often not neutral and can lead to misunderstandings, prompting speakers to use neutral forms to prevent conflict.
