The Conjurer's Boy

Set against the backdrop of 1962 Chicago, the story follows Thomas Faye, a boy whose life transforms after meeting two enigmatic figures in a junk shop. Arthur Farrell, a magician and war veteran, possesses healing powers, while his friend Meyer, a resilient survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto, brings chaos. Influenced by these men, Thomas embarks on a journey across America and Vietnam, adopting various identities. As he grapples with his evolving abilities, he uncovers the deeper purpose of his fateful encounter in the shop.
