Green Goes Forth

Set in the 1970s, this coming-of-age story follows young Joe Green, a senior at American University who finds himself in trouble with the law. To escape, he flees to Sonoma County, California, where he immerses himself in literature, including Homer's The Odyssey and the I Ching, while becoming a successful marijuana grower. After two years of exile, Joe returns to Washington, DC, equipped with newfound wealth and a unique perspective that challenges the political landscape of the Reagan era.
