Focusing on the environmental and social implications of the Port of Douala, this work examines the fishing terminal's operations since its establishment in 1881 without prior environmental assessments. It highlights the government's 2013 decree aimed at integrating environmental audits into operational practices. The objective is to develop sustainable strategies that ensure environmental considerations are incorporated into the management of the fishing terminal, thereby promoting responsible practices within Cameroon's vital economic hub.
