Focusing on the therapeutic potential of Au (I, III) complexes, the book investigates their selective inhibition of zinc finger proteins (ZnFs), particularly targeting the HIV-1 nucleocapsid protein and the human transcription factor Sp1. Innovative techniques such as Travelling-Wave Ion Mobility coupled with Mass Spectrometry and X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy are employed to elucidate the coordination sphere of gold adducts.
