Focusing on the right to health as a fundamental human right, this work examines the health conditions of prisoners at Bukavu Central Prison. It evaluates whether essential health protections are upheld and explores the Congolese State's mechanisms for improving inmate conditions. Drawing on guidelines from the World Health Organization, the text addresses the legal and policy frameworks necessary for ensuring the highest attainable standard of health for prisoners, highlighting the intersection of health rights and human dignity.
